Honest SaaS reviews.
No paid placements.
We test every tool we review. Ratings reflect the product, not the commission rate. That is the entire premise of this site.
Why we built this
The SaaS review industry has a fundamental problem: most review sites rank tools based on who pays the most for placement, not who actually deserves the top spot. We spent years reading best VPN lists where the same five names rotated positions, all coincidentally paying premium affiliate rates of $100+ per conversion.
The tools that deserve to be at the top are not always the ones willing to pay the most to appear there. Bitwarden is one of the best password managers available and it costs $10 per year, which pays affiliates almost nothing. 1Password is also excellent and pays affiliates significantly more. Many review sites rank 1Password first not because it is objectively better but because the economics point that way.
RankdSaaS exists to fix this. Every tool gets the same scoring rubric regardless of its affiliate programme. A tool that pays $200 per referral gets the same honest assessment as one that pays $5. Our ratings reflect real testing, not financial incentives.
How we make money and why that is worth reading
We are transparent about this because we think you deserve to know.
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click through and sign up for a tool, we may earn a commission. This does not change our ratings or recommendations. We rate tools before we know whether they have an affiliate programme. The review comes first, the monetisation comes second.
We do not accept payment for placement. Tools cannot pay to appear higher in our rankings, be featured in our best-of lists, or receive a higher rating. If a vendor contacts us offering payment for positive coverage, we decline. Several have.

How we test tools
Every tool on RankdSaaS has been tested by a human being. We do not aggregate reviews from other sites or rely on press releases. Here is what the process looks like:
VPNs
Speed tests from multiple server locations, streaming service compatibility checks across Netflix, Disney+, BBC iPlayer and Hulu, kill switch verification, and DNS and WebRTC leak testing using ipleak.net and browserleaks.com.
Password managers
Install on Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android. Test browser extension autofill across 20+ sites, verify import/export process, test two-factor authentication setup, and review encryption standards and audit history.
Web hosting
Identical WordPress installations on each host, Pingdom and GTmetrix tests weekly for 60 days, traffic spike simulation using loader.io, and support response time benchmarking with identical test tickets.
SEO tools
Identical keyword research tasks on each platform compared against confirmed Google Search Console data. Site audit features tested against known issues on our own properties.
Project management
Real projects run through each tool with a 3-5 person team for a minimum of 4 weeks. We measure adoption rate, task completion rate, and time spent managing the tool versus doing actual work.
Email marketing
Real campaigns sent to our own subscriber list using each platform. We measure deliverability rates, compare automation builders, and track support response quality to identical technical questions.
Our scoring methodology
Every tool is scored on a 5-point scale across four dimensions. The overall rating is a weighted average of these four scores, each weighted equally at 25%.
How often we update reviews
SaaS tools change frequently. Prices go up. Features get added or removed. Security incidents happen. We update reviews when a tool changes its pricing, a significant feature is added or removed, a security incident affects our assessment, or as part of our routine annual review cycle. Every review shows a "Last reviewed" date so you always know how current the information is.
What we do not do
- Accept payment for higher rankings or positive coverage
- Publish reviews of tools we have not tested ourselves
- Use affiliate commission rates as a factor in our ratings
- Publish sponsored content without clear disclosure
- Delete negative reviews because a vendor complained
- Use AI to generate reviews without human testing and verification
Who runs this site
We built RankdSaaS after spending years reading affiliate review sites that ranked tools based on commission rates rather than quality. Every tool on this site has been tested by a real person. We update reviews when tools change and we never accept payment for placement. That is the entire premise.
Reviews are written and verified by the RankdSaaS team. We disclose all affiliate relationships on our disclosure page.
