Ahrefs Pricing in 2026: Every Plan and Whether Each Is Worth It
Ahrefs pricing starts at $99/month and goes to $999/month. We break down what each tier actually includes and which one matches different types of users.
Ahrefs is one of the most expensive mainstream SEO tools. Before committing to any plan, it is worth understanding exactly what each tier includes and which use cases each one actually serves.
Ahrefs Lite: $99/month
Lite includes 5 projects, 6 months of history, 500 credits per month, and access to all core tools including Site Explorer, Keywords Explorer, Content Explorer, and Site Audit. Limits: 500 rows per report export, no API access, single user. Suitable for: individual bloggers, freelancers, and small business owners managing their own site. Most users with one or two sites will find Lite sufficient.
Ahrefs Standard: $199/month
Standard adds 20 projects, 2 years of history, 1,500 credits, up to 2 users, and SERP position history. The additional history and higher limits make Standard the right choice for agencies managing multiple client sites and in-house teams with several properties to track.
Ahrefs Advanced: $399/month
Advanced adds 50 projects, unlimited history, 5,000 credits, up to 5 users, and advanced filters. For most users this is unnecessary. Consider it if you have dozens of sites or need the deeper historical data for competitive analysis.
Ahrefs Enterprise: $999/month
Enterprise adds unlimited projects, API access, SSO, and custom user management. This is for large agencies or enterprise teams with dozens of users and hundreds of sites. It is not relevant for most of our readers.
Is there a free trial?
Ahrefs does not offer a free trial of paid plans. They have Ahrefs Webmaster Tools which is free for your own site and includes backlink data and keyword rankings. This is the best way to evaluate Ahrefs data quality before committing to a paid plan.
The verdict
Start with Ahrefs Lite if you are managing your own site or a small number of sites. Upgrade to Standard if you need multi-user access or longer history. The jump from Lite to Standard doubles the price for features most solo users do not need.
